I created this blog because sometimes there are things I want to talk about that just don't seem appropriate for my photography blog. My clients and potential customers probably don't want to hear about the latest trick my dog can do, the day I spent with my nephews, or any of that other mundane stuff. But if they do, they can just hop on over here to read about it!
I work full-time as a Digital Court Reporter in Santa Rosa County, Florida. I have computers in my office that allow me to hear and see what's going on in the courtroom as it is recorded to a server. If someone wants a transcript of something that happened, I type it up. I probably won't be talking about this much since it's dreadfully boring and nothing like what you see on TV.
My real passion is photography. I've started my own business and I'm trying to build it to be the type of business I am proud of. I don't know that photography will ever replace my full-time job as my primary source of income, but it certainly makes life more bearable in the mean time.
My husband's name is David, and he works as a dispatcher at the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office. He wanted to be a deputy but nobody bothered to tell us in college that he was doing things backwards... he should have gone to the academy first and then gotten his degree. Oops. By the time we figured this out we had bills to pay and the economy had effectively eliminated any sponsorship programs worth taking advantage of. But he still gets to help people and I think he likes his job most of the time, so I'm glad it worked out that way!
And we have pets.
